Smoke Shop Employee Arrested for Selling Flavored Vape Products

(Photo Courtesy of SCPD) Police seized nearly 12,000 flavored vapes from Cloud 9 Smoke Shoppe IV in Islip Terrace after an employee, Daniel Rosa, was arrested and charged for selling flavored vapes to a minor.

Suffolk County Police arrested a smoke shop employee for selling flavored vape products in Islip Terrace.

As part of the department’s ‘Operation Smoke Out,’ Third Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into several smoke shops within the Third Precinct. While investigating Cloud 9 Smoke Shoppe IV, located at 3277 Sunrise Highway North Service Road, an employee of the store sold a flavored vape to an underaged police internon May 11 at approximately 8:25 p.m.

Daniel Rosa, 21, of 63 Belford Ave., Bay Shore was arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child in the second degree and sale of flavored products. Rosa was issued a field appearance ticket and will be arraigned at a later date.

The Suffolk County Police Department Property Bureau was notified, and approximately 12,000 flavored vapes were seized at the location.
