A Bellport man was killed at a North Lawrence business when he was hit by a payloader.
On March 10, at approximately 9:01 a.m., a 33-year-old male employee was operating a large payloader at a mason yard at 4 Johnson Road when he hit Michael Porter. Nassau County officers arrived at the scene, and Porter, 54, was brought to a local hospital. He was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
