Nassau County Legislators Scott M. Davis (D – Rockville Centre) and Olena Nicks (D – Uniondale) joined community leaders and residents on June 6 to celebrate two milestones for small business owners in the heart of Hempstead Village
Gathering alongside the New Greater Hempstead Chamber of Commerce and its president, Dr. LaShawn Lukes, the legislators recognized Jin Pan and Yu Zhao, owners of Eternal Deli, on the occasion of the deli’s eighth anniversary. The event also marked the grand opening of their new business, the Sweet Tea House, located next door.
“Local business owners do so much to strengthen our communities and make our downtowns more vibrant and prosperous — and this is an outstanding success story in the heart of Hempstead Village,” said Davis. “Congratulations on reaching these milestones – I wish you all the best on many more successful years serving the community!”
Nicks echoed those sentiments, praising the duo’s hard work and vision.
“The entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by Jin Pan and Yu Zhao is a personification of the American dream, and it is an inspiring reminder of what can be achieved through hard work and perseverance,” she said. “It was a pleasure to join the New Greater Hempstead Chamber in celebrating these milestones for the Hempstead Village business community.”
