The honor recognizes professionals who demonstrate outstanding leadership, advocacy, and mentorship in advancing the nation’s transportation and infrastructure industries. Franchi was one of only two recipients nationwide recognized during ARTBA’s national convention.
“Jaime’s recognition by ARTBA is a testament not only to her professionalism and creativity but to her deep commitment to advocacy and equity in our industry,” said LICA Executive Director Marc Herbst. “She has elevated LICA’s communications, strengthened our government relations, and inspired a new generation of leaders — particularly women — in infrastructure. We are incredibly proud of her accomplishments and this well-deserved national honor.”
Since joining LICA in 2022, Franchi has made a significant impact on Long Island’s heavy construction and infrastructure community. As editor-in-chief of Long Island Road Warriors, she transformed the publication into a dynamic platform spotlighting regional projects, industry leaders, and public policy developments.
Her work in government relations has amplified LICA’s voice in Albany and across the state, securing major wins for the industry — including key infrastructure funding priorities in the New York State Budget, including a $1 billion capital increase for 2025. She also helped champion the Suffolk County Water Quality Restoration Act and was appointed to the Subwatersheds Wastewater Plan Board for her leadership on water quality and sustainability issues.
Franchi also founded Forewomen Long Island, a first-of-its-kind initiative empowering and connecting women in the infrastructure and construction sectors, underscoring her commitment to mentorship and inclusion in a traditionally male-dominated field.
