Suffolk County Police arrested an employee of a Bellport gas station for selling tobacco products to a minor.
In response to community complaints, Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers initiated an investigation into Gulf Gas, located at 11 Station Road, on November 15. An underage agent purchased tobacco products from the business at 10:37 a.m.
The employee, Nurettin Bayram, 29, was charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Minor 2nd Degree. He was issued a field appearance ticket and scheduled for arraignment at a later date.
