Staff members joined elected officials and members of the Greater Port Jefferson Chamber of Commerce for the grand opening of Castaways on February 26. The restaurant is located at 106 Main Street in Port Jefferson.
The latest addition to the Silver Lining Restaurant Group. Castaways is owned by three restaurant veterans: John Sarno, Mike Krohn and Mario Tucci. Sarno is the owner of the two Village Idiot establishments in Patchogue and Lake Grove and Drift 82 in Patchogue. He is also the co-owner of another Patchogue-based restaurant, Chops Steakhouse, with Krohn.
Castaways offers many steak and seafood, pork and chicken entrees, as well as an extensive wine list and a menu of eclectic cocktails.
