
The owner of a Baldwin bowling alley was arrested after it was found that he allegedly had illegal gambling devices in his establishment.
On April 3 at 8:00 p.m., Nassau County police officers responded to the Baldwin Bowl and Lounge located at 2407 Grand Avenue; the investigation revealed the business was operating without a valid New York State liquor license. Officers also observed two gambling machines present inside the establishment.
The Town of Hempstead Buildings Department issued the owner multiple summonses and the location was boarded, locked and secured.
The owner, William Shasho, 48, of 2416 National Drive, Brooklyn, was charged with Possession of a Gambling Device, Places of Public Assembly: License Requirements and had two previous active warrants from Nassau County. He was scheduled to be
arraigned on April 4 at First District Court in Hempstead.
