A 69-year-old woman was killed after being struck by a car while crossing the street in Greenvale.
On March 9 at 6:02 a.m., a female pedestrian was crossing Glen Cove Road eastbound when she was struck by a red 2018 Dodge Challenger being operated by a 26-year-old male traveling northbound on Glen Cove Road. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead by hospital staff. The victim has been identified as Claudia Moncada of Glen Cove.
The driver remained on scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
