Woman Killed in Four-Vehicle Crash

Suffolk County Sixth Squad detectives are investigating after a woman was killed in a motor vehicle crash in Coram.

A woman was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu southbound on Route 112 when the vehicle was struck by a westbound Jeep Wrangler at the intersection with County Road 83. The Chevrolet then struck a Toyota Highlander and a Toyota Tacoma.

The woman, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The operator of the Jeep was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.

All four vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
