Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood.
On November 27, Emely Santos was driving a 2012 Acura TL and made a left turn onto an eastbound lane of Suffolk Avenue from Eisenhower Avenue when the vehicle struck a pedestrian that was in the roadway at approximately 5:40 p.m.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Santos, 24, of Brentwood, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
