Nassau County police are investigating an incident in which a woman was hit and killed by a car in Glen Cove.
On March 31 at approximately 9:03 p.m., a 24-year-old woman, Nicole Estefania Guizhpe Guartazaca, was crossing Forest Avenue near Kirkwood Drive when she was hit by a 2014 BMW being driven by a 23-year-old man eastbound on Forest Avenue. Guartazaca was brought to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
