Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was hit by a car in Brentwood.
Denise Healy was pushing a shopping cart as she was crossing Motor Parkway, near Washington Avenue on October 12 at approximately 6:45 p.m., when she was struck in the turning lane by an eastbound 2018 Toyota Camry driven by Justin Ortiz.
Healy, 62, of Brentwood, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in serious condition. Ortiz, 28, of Brentwood, was not injured.
The Toyota was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this crash is asked to call the Fourth Squad at 631-854-8452.
