Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash that critically injured a woman in Shirley.
Dawn Marie Martino was driving a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica eastbound on Flower Hill Drive on February 16 when her vehicle was struck by a southbound 2023 Jeep at the intersection with William Floyd Parkway at 8:45 a.m.
Martino, 56, of Shirley, was transported to NYU Langone-Suffolk in Patchogue, where she was admitted with critical injuries. The driver of the Jeep, Luis Rodriguez-Pineda, 55, of Shirley, was transported to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
Both vehicles were impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
