Suffolk County Police arrested a woman for driving while intoxicated after she allegdly crashed her vehicle through the front of a house in Central Islip.
On March 15, Estefany DeJesus was driving a 2022 BMW SUV southbound on Birchgrove Drive when she allegedly lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway, and crashed through the front of the residence at approximately 2:10 a.m.
Third Precinct officers arrived at the scene and determined that DeJesus was impaired. She was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for evaluation. There were no injuries to the residents of the house. The Fire Marshal and Town of Islip Building Inspector were on scene to assess damage to the structure.
DeJesus, 30, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated. She is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 15.
