Woman Arrested After Allegedly Leaving Scene of Fatal Crash

Suffolk County Police have arrested a woman for leaving the scene of a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in Selden.

On September 7, a passing motorist observed a body and vehicle debris in the roadway on College Road, north of Mooney Pond Road, and called 911 at 1:23 a.m. When Sixth Precinct officers arrived at the scene, they found Randolph King unconscious in the roadway. King, 36, of Selden, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

Police arrested Yeymi Sanchez-Guzman and located a 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee with damage to the front end and windshield. Major Case Unit detectives charged Sanchez-Guzman, 31, of Selden, with Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Accident. She was held at the Sixth Precinct and scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 7.
