A person is dead after crashing his car in Massapequa in the early morning hours.
On December 14 at 3:09 a.m., a 20-year-old male was operating a 2019 BMW on Merrick Road when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a tree in the vicinity of Cedar Shore Drive. The operator, and sole occupant of the vehicle, suffered serious injuries and was transported to a local area hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
