Suffolk County Police Third Precinct officers partnered with Town of Islip Public Safety officials to remove a dozen illegally parked vehicles in Brentwood. A video of one of the cars being taken away can be seen here.
In response to community complaints and a history of illegally parked vehicles on Suffolk Avenue, 12 vehicles, several of which did not display license plates, were impounded by the Town of Islip on May 30. Additionally, four illegally parked vehicles were removed voluntarily by the owners. A video of all the illegally parked cars can be seen here.
New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law requires number plates to be affixed to vehicles parked on roadways and all other parking regulations must be followed to avoid possible enforcement action and having a vehicle impounded.
