Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives have identified the pedestrian who was killed in a motor vehicle crash that recently happened in Brentwood.
On June 2, police identified the victim as Alvaro Amaya, 42, of Brentwood.
Amaya was crossing Wicks Road, just south of Merrill Street, when he was struck by a southbound 2016 Honda CRV, driven by MD Uddin, at 8:55 p.m.
Amaya was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. Uddin, 58, of Bay Shore, was not injured.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
