Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Wyandanch.
A man was struck by a vehicle on eastbound Wyandanch Avenue, west of Mount Avenue, on June 13 at 7:29 p.m. The driver then fled the scene, continuing eastbound toward Mount Avenue.
The man, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, where he was pronounced dead.
