A pedestrian was killed when he was hit by a vehicle in Jericho.
The Homicide Squad reports the details of a Fatal Vehicular Accident involving a pedestrian that occurred on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at 2:45 pm in Jericho.
On December 22 at 2:45 p.m., a 2004 FedEx truck, operated by a 28-year-old male, was traveling eastbound in the right lane on the Long Island Expressway when it struck a 33-year-old male pedestrian between Exits 40W and 40E. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene by a NYPD medic. No other injuries were reported and the operator remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
