A pedestrian has died after being hit by a vehicle in Inwood.
According to detectives from the Nassau County Homicide Squad, on October 28 at 11:08 p.m., a male pedestrian was struck by a 2004 Ford Explorer traveling southbound on Sheridan Boulevard in the vicinity of Nassau Avenue. The 35-year-old male operator of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The pedestrian suffered severe trauma and was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
No further injuries were reported.
The investigation is ongoing.
