Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian was hit and struck by a car in Brentwood.
Kojo Owusu was crossing eastbound Suffolk Avenue, near Fourth Street on July 12 at 4:53 a.m. when he was struck by an eastbound 2012 Dodge Caravan driven by Rosa Campos.
Owusu, 30, of Brentwood, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. Campos, 50, of Brentwood, was not injured. The Dodge Caravan was impounded for a safety check.
