Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist last night in Miller Place.
A man was operating a Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle westbound on Route 25A when he crashed into the side of an eastbound 2017 Toyota Prius as it was turning left onto Oakland Avenue at approximately
9:55 p.m.
The motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified by police, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Toyota, Jennette Wohlars, 49, of Sound Beach, was not injured.
The Suzuki and the Toyota were impounded for safety checks.
