Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Copiague.
Louis Lasusa, 69, of Massapequa Park, was walking northbound across Montauk Highway, when he was struck by a westbound gray sedan in front of 1051 Montauk Highway on November 5 at 8:44 p.m. The driver then fled the scene, continuing westbound on Montauk Highway.
Lasusa was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
