Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a dirt bike operator in East Patchogue.
Noe Moran Contreras was operating a dirt bike on Americus Avenue, south of Brookhaven Avenue, when he lost control of the dirt bike that struck a pole on July 18 at 8:08 p.m. Moran Contreras, 31, of East Patchogue, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
The dirt bike was impounded for a safety check.
