A man was killed after being hit by a car in Valley Stream. The car drove off after hitting the pedestrian.
On January 27, at 7:57 p.m., Officers responded to Broadway near Ash Street, where a man was lying on the road bleeding. He appeared to have been hit by an unknown vehicle. The pedestrian, a man in his forties, suffered severe head trauma and was declared dead at the scene by a Police Medic. The driver of the unknown vehicle had already fled the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
