Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a pedestrian in North Bay Shore.
On September 6, David Camacho was driving a 2015 Honda CRV westbound on Pine Aire Drive, at the intersection of 5th Avenue, when the vehicle struck a male pedestrian in the roadway, at 4:56 p.m.
The man, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead. Camacho, 75, of North Bay Shore, was not injured.
The Honda was impounded for a safety check.
