Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash that critically injured a man in Greenlawn this morning.
A 2022 Toyota Tundra traveling northbound on Broadway Avenue and a 2009 Honda CRV traveling eastbound on Little Plains Road collided at the intersection at 3:19 a.m.
The Honda driver, Michael Izzo, 42, of Huntington, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore in critical condition. The Toyota driver, David Loughlin, 56, of Hauppauge, was not injured. Both drivers were alone in their vehicles.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
