A woman has been hospitalized after being hit by a car while trying to cross the street in Wantagh.
On February 10 at approximately 3:38 p.m. in Wantagh, a woman, 60, was trying to cross Wantagh Avenue going east near Laurel Lane when she was hit by a 2015 Honda being driven by a seventeen-year-old girl. The woman suffered severe injuries and was brought to a local hospital by the Wantagh Fire Department for treatment and evaluation. She is reported as being in critical condition.
The driver stayed at the scene. No other injuries were listed.
The investigation is ongoing.
