A woman is dead after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Glen Cove.
On February 7 at 2:07 p.m., a 69-year-old female pedestrian tried to cross Pratt Boulevard, when she was struck by a 2019 Ford van traveling southwest on Pratt Boulevard in the vicinity of Pulaski Street. She suffered severe trauma and was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead by a hospital physician.
The driver of the vehicle, a 68-year-old woman, remained at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
