One person is dead after his truck crashed and overturned in Huntington.
On December 25 at approximately 6:24 a.m., New York State police responded to a crash just east of Exit 41 of the Northern State Parkway eastbound at Wolf Hill Road for a report of a fatal one-vehicle crash.
Upon arrival, state troopers located the operator, Osmond Duarte, 21, dead in the roadway. Investigators determined that Duarte was operating a 2011 Hino commercial flatbed truck at an unsafe speed, when he lost control of the vehicle, struck the center median and overturned. Duarte was subsequently ejected from the vehicle.
