A bicyclist was seriously injured after being hit by a car while riding on an East Garden City street.
On October 7 at 3 p.m., a 42-year-old male was operating a 2018 Toyota Tundra and exiting a parking lot in the vicinity of Commercial Avenue. He was turning southbound onto Quentin Roosevelt Boulevard when he collided with a 56-year-old male bicyclist, who was traveling northbound on the same street.
As a result of the collision, the bicyclist suffered serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation and treatment. The operator of the vehicle remained at scene.
No other injuries were reported.
