Suffolk County Police today arrested a West Babylon man for the hit-and-run crash that seriously injured an E-Bike rider in West Babylon.
Tiager Collier was riding a Z8 Electric Bike in the eastbound lane of Fulton Street on June 6, when he was struck at the intersection of Troy Avenue by a vehicle traveling southbound at 5:08 p.m. The vehicle then fled the scene. Following an investigation by Major Case Unit detectives, Manuel Serrano Sanchez, 45, was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Accident Resulting in Serious Injury.
Collier, 23, of Wyandanch, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries.
Serrano Sanchez will be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip at a later date.
