Had Numerous Vehicle and Traffic Law Violations before Arrest
A man has been arrested for several Vehicle and Traffic Law violations in Roosevelt after causing two car crashes.
On April 7, at approximately 4:46 p.m., Nassau County officers were informed of a vehicle traveling with a suspended registration. Officers saw the 2019 Hyundai Elantra and conducted a vehicle and traffic law stop on the entrance ramp of the Southern State Parkway at Exit 20.
When officers tried to approach the car, it raced east on the Southern State Parkway, committing numerous vehicle and traffic law violations before exiting the parkway and hitting a 2019 Land Rover at the intersection of West Greenwich Avenue and Brookside Avenue. The female driver of the Land Rover, 29, and her one-year-old male passenger were both brought to a local hospital for minor injuries. No further injuries were reported.
During the investigation, three pills thought to be oxycodone Hydrochloride were recovered.
