
Nassau County First Squad is investigating a Vehicular Accident Leaving the Scene involving a pedestrian that occurred in Roosevelt on August 14 at 7:11 am.
According to detectives, a 57-year-old male was crossing Nassau Road from east to west when an unknown motorcyclist allegedly struck the pedestrian in the vicinity of Grenada Avenue, causing the victim to be thrown to the ground. The motorcyclist, after striking the victim, then allegedly struck a 2017 Hyundai that was in traffic, causing damage before allegedly fleeing north on Nassau Road. The pedestrian suffered a right leg laceration and abdominal pain and was transported in a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
Then motorcyclist is described as being male, Hispanic, light skinned, medium build, white t -shirt, blue jeans and a black back pack.
