Nassau County police arrested a Brentwood man for drunk driving after allegedly smashing into another vehicle in Atlantic Beach.
On December 10 at 5:33 p.m., Job Giuliana, 30 of 18 Sheppard Court, was operating a 2020 Chevrolet Equinox traveling eastbound on Beech Street when it allegedly struck a 2019 Chevrolet Traverse traveling westbound on Beech Street in the vicinity of Scott Drive. The Traverse was driven by a 52-year-old man and had two passengers in the car — a 49-year-old woman and an 11-year-old boy.
When police arrived, they observed a severe injury to Giuliana and applied a tourniquet to his left leg to stop the bleeding. He was transported by the Long Beach Fire Department to a nearby hospital for treatment where it was determined he was intoxicated and placed under arrest.
The body sustained severe body trauma and was airlifted by Nassau County Police Department Helicopter 6 to a nearby hospital with the female passenger, who complained of body pain. The driver of the Traverse suffered a laceration to his head and was transported to an area hospital by Long Beach Fire Department, where he was treated and later released.
Police charged Giuliana with Vehicular Assault in the Second degree, Assault in the Second Degree, two counts of Assault in the Third Degree, Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Reckless Endangerment in the Second Degree. He will be arraigned at First District Court when medically practical.
