
A Great Neck man has died after hitting a tractor-trailer that was parked. Nassau County Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the incident.
On January 18 at 9 a.m., Chalermchai Losirisup, 51, was traveling eastbound on the LIE South Service Road/South Marginal Road on his bicycle between exits 43 and 44 in Syosset when he struck a legally parked tractor-trailer. A Nassau County Police Department medic pronounced Losirisupdead at the scene.
No other injuries were reported. Police believed there was no wrongdoing at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
