Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a bicyclist in Brentwood this afternoon.
Steven Bagni was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra eastbound on Express Drive South when the vehicle collided with a bicyclist that was traveling northbound through the intersection of Washington Avenue on January 27 at 2:33 p.m.
The bicyclist, an adult man who has not been positively identified by police, was transported by ambulance to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious physical injuries. Bagni, 39, of Coram, was not injured.
The Elantra was impounded for a safety check. Anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact Third Squad detectives at 631-854-8352.
