Suffolk County Police have arrested a Babylon man who seriously injured another man during a road rage incident in West Babylon.
Following a road rage incident, two men drove their vehicles into the parking lot located at 90 Route 109 on October 19 at approximately 8:10 p.m. The men exited their vehicles and engaged in an altercation. One of the men got back into his vehicle, rammed the other man’s vehicle three times, and then ran over the other man before fleeing the scene. The 51-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
Following an investigation by First Squad detectives, Patrick Laughlin was arrested at the First Precinct on October 20 at 11:14 p.m.
Loughlin, 37, of 87 Wyandanch Ave., was charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and third-degree criminal mischief. He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and was scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 21.
