3 Injured in Three-Car Crash in Dix Hills

Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred in  Dix Hills.  

Louis Parnes was driving a 2017 Porsche northbound on East Deer Park Road near Arielle Court when the vehicle began to fishtail on the road on January 18 at 8:40 a.m. The vehicle crossed into the southbound lane and struck a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Ibrahim Ezzat. The Porsche continued northbound and struck a southbound 2022 Volkswagen driven by Jose Flores.  

Flores, 52, of Huntington Station, was transported to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip with minor injuries. His passenger, Wendy Diazpadilla, 43, of East Northport, was also transported to  Good Samaritan University Hospital with serious injuries. Parnes, 30, of Plainview, and Ezzat, 72, of  Commack, were not injured. 

Long Island Life & Politics has reached out to the SCPD to see if the weather and/or speed played a role in the crash. “They are investigating if weather played a role,’ an SCPD spokesperson said.

The vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
