Three people are dead after a car hit a tree and caught fire in Bethpage.
On May 11 at 1 a.m., Nassau County police responded to a single-vehicle accident at Stymus Avenue in the vicinity of Carol Drive. A 2022 Dodge Durango was driving eastbound on Stymus Avenue when it struck a tree and subsequently caught fire.
The Bethpage Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The three occupants who were inside the vehicle — Gino Vicale, 20 of Seaford, Nicholas Rivera, 20 of Glendale and Vincent Cavaliere, 20 of Bethpage — were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
