Three people are dead after a car hit a tree and caught fire in Bethpage.
On May 11 at 1 a.m., Nassau County police responded to a single-vehicle accident at Stymus Avenue in the vicinity of Carol Drive. A 2022 Dodge Durango was driving eastbound on Stymus Avenue when it struck a tree and subsequently caught fire.
The Bethpage Fire Department responded to the scene and extinguished the fire. The three occupants who were inside the vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
