Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that injured two pedestrians in North Bellport.
On September 26, two pedestrians were walking eastbound across Station Road at the intersection of Patchogue Avenue, when they were struck by a white SUV driving southbound at 9:38 p.m. The vehicle then fled south toward Montauk Highway.
D’Ajiah Mitchell, 15, of East Patchogue, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Kevin Reese, 14, of Bellport, was transported to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk County for treatment of minor injuries.
