Suffolk County Police Fifth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist in Medford last night.
Hasani Martin-Rathan was operating a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle northbound on North Ocean Avenue on August 14 when he crashed into a southbound 2018 Ford van that was attempting to turn left onto Cedar Avenue at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Martin-Rathan, 27, of Brentwood, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. The driver of the Ford, Angel Bravo-Jimenez, 24, of Medford, was not injured. Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
