A Brooklyn man has been arrested for hitting two Eastern Suffolk BOCES employees with his vehicle, then driving away.
Following an investigation by Fifth Squad detectives, Suffolk County police arrested Josef McLorrain, 22, of 761 Miller Ave., on July 25. He was charged with two counts of first-degree assault.
McLorrain’s vehicle struck two pedestrians in the parking lot of Eastern Suffolk BOCES, located 350 Martha Ave. in North Bellport, on June 24 at approximately 8:35 a.m. He fled the scene in the vehicle.
One of the pedestrians, Jawan Harrison, 31, of Coram, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue for treatment of serious physical injuries. The second pedestrian, Natalie Williams, 41, of Ronkonkoma, was taken to the same hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Both are employees of Eastern Suffolk BOCES.
McLorrain is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on July 26.
