Fifth Squad detectives are searching for a man who broke into a department store in Valley Stream and stole cash.
According to detectives, on July 21 at 7:57 a.m., an unknown male subject entered Macy’s, located at 1000 Green Acres Mall, through an unlocked side door. The male subject than pried open and damaged four cash registers while removing an unknown amount of money before fleeing the scene westbound on foot.
The subject is described as a Black male, 5’8” tall, approximately 25-30 years old with dreadlocks, wearing a black sweatshirt, black shorts and black sneakers.
