Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of a man who was pulled from the water in Shirley.
Seventh Precinct officers responded to Outer Beach at Smith Point County Park on July 15 at approximately 3:55 p.m. after good Samaritans pulled an unresponsive man from the water. The man was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue, where he was pronounced dead.
The man, who is believed to have drowned, has not yet been identified.
