A Bellmore smoke shop was burglarized by an unknown male before driving off.
According to detectives, Seventh Precinct officers responded to Clever Smoke and Cigar Shop, located at 2370-A Merrick Road, for a commercial burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined that an unknown male entered the store by breaking the front door. Further investigation revealed that an unknown amount of money and cigarettes had been removed from the store. The subject left the scene in a 4-door sedan traveling westbound on Merrick Road.
The investigation is ongoing.
