Suffolk County police finally identified a man who was pulled from a pool at a West Hills residence last month. He has been identified as Ellery Smith, 45, of Huntington Station.
Second Precinct officers responded to a 911 call at 367 West Hills Road in West Hills after Smith was found unresponsive in the swimming pool on May 19 at approximately 2 p.m. A resident of the home, who was an acquaintance of Smith, began CPR until the first responders arrived.
Smith was then transported to Huntington Hospital and pronounced dead.
