Topic of Discussion Will Be “Strengthening Long Island Communities Through the Power of the Arts”
On May 10, Mark and Dylan Perlman, Co-Owners/Managing Partners, and Marty Rubin, General Manager/Director of Sales, The Argyle Theatre, will be the guest speakers at LIMBA (Long Island Metro Business Action). This event will take place at the Candlelight Diner, located at 56 Veterans Memorial Highway in Commack, starting at 8:30 a.m. The topic will be “Strengthening Long Island Communities Through the Power of the Arts.”
The Argyle Theatre in Babylon has played a key role in the revival of Main Street since its reopening in 2018. Offering a diverse range of performances, the theatre has turned the downtown area into a vibrant hub for the local community. The upcoming event will focus on how venues like the Argyle Theatre not only serves as economic engines for Babylon and other downtowns, but increases community engagement.
Mr. Rubin, along with Mark and Dylan Perlman, will share insights on the impact of entertainment venues and their potential to attract more people and businesses. They will also highlight The Argyle Theatre’s “Academy of the Arts,” which educates local students with supportive environments in musical theatre and performance skills.
This discussion aims to highlight the essential role that cultural and entertainment venues play in revitalizing local areas around Long Island.
In addition, three pairs of tickets to A Bronx Tale will be given out as door prizes. This is a musical that explores themes of loyalty, love, and family.
