Purse Stolen from Huntington Station Supermarket

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Suffolk County Police Second Squad are asking for the public’s help to identify and locate two individuals involved in a recent theft.

On April 13, at approximately 1:30 p.m., an elderly woman was distracted by a female suspect at the Shop Rite located at 839 New York Ave. in Huntington Station. During this distraction, a male accomplice stole the victim’s wallet from her purse, which was in her shopping cart.

Later that day, credit cards from the stolen wallet were used at the Apple and Bloomingdale’s stores in the Walt Whitman Mall. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
